SWIFTLINK TECHNOLOGIES: Global Pioneer World’s first Full-Band mmWave MIMO and Transceiver RF IC

2016

Since the advent of millimeter-wave integrated circuits in the 1980s, we’ve seen a continual increase in applications for this technology. The emerging 5G era, characterized by high data rates, low latency, and extensive connectivity, has championed millimeter-wave frequencies to bypass the confines of the crowded Sub-6 frequency range. In this transformative era, Swiftlink Technologies Inc., founded in May 2016, stands out as a global leader, boasting unparalleled solutions and the promise of a revolutionized wireless landscape.

2017

Swiftlink Technologies was born out of a bold vision to innovate wireless technology by developing unique IP and System Architecture solutions. By August 2017, they had already laid the cornerstone of their IP implementation with the first IC tapeout, the core of the Speedlink project, marking the onset of their journey in delivering superior customer-centric solutions.

2018

Swiftlink’s unique offerings include cutting-edge broadband millimeter-wave front-end ICs, antennas, and modules tailor-made for the 5G commercial market. The company’s signature invention, the Swiftlink Extreme Mobile Broadband technology (Swiftlink EMB), debuted at the 2018 World Microwave Communication Exhibition. The Swiftlink EMB, the world’s first silicon chip supporting 5G millimeter-wave bands universally from 24GHz to 44GHz, caused a significant industry-wide sensation.

Swiftlink EMB module’s capabilities have been proven through rigorous testing across the 24GHz to 43GHz millimeter-wave spectrum. It demonstrated a transmitter linear output power of 16dBm and a receiver noise figure between 5-8dB across all 5G millimeter-wave bands, indicating a revolutionary potential to resolve bandwidth shortages and frequency conflicts.

As a testament to their innovative spirit, Swiftlink holds over 100 pending US and global patents for millimeter-wave IC, antenna, and packaging technologies. Swiftlink’s approach to integrating a front-end IC with antenna arrays into a package presents a comprehensive, user-friendly solution to 5G terminal devices and network systems.

Since its inception, Swiftlink has been on an innovation roller-coaster, with significant milestones such as delivering a 4-element mm-Wave IC tapeout and a full-band 24-44GHz solution at the IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS) in 2018. They have successfully filed numerous patents, completed multiple IC tapeouts, and built fruitful partnerships with telecom giants.

2021

In the subsequent years, Swiftlink continued its pursuit of perfection. They built the Richmond Lab, completed their eighth IC tapeout, improved Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) experimental verification, and developed cutting-edge MIMO and packaging ICs. In May 2021, Swiftlink reaffirmed its dedication to client interests by renewing NDAs with leading clients such as Apple and Samsung.

The team at Swiftlink Technologies, led by founder Mr. Thomas Shoutao Chen, Chief Millimeter-Wave Scientist Academician Wu Ke, and Chief Antenna Scientist Mr. Robert Hill, is committed to the task of unlocking the vast potential of the 5G spectrum. They bring decades of industry knowledge, insight, and experience, guiding Swiftlink to remarkable achievements.

2023

Today, as we embrace the age of 5G millimeter-wave connectivity, Swiftlink is geared for the next phase of growth and innovation. With recent orders for new wafers and preparations for further testing, Swiftlink is set to deliver the best of wireless technology.

Swiftlink Technologies Inc. is more than a company; it’s a pioneer shaping the way for a new era of global communication. It aims to revolutionize the wireless landscape, paving the way for an interconnected world like never before.
